6×6 is an international small art phenomenon that brings together thousands of original artworks, and the best part? ANYONE can participate! You do not need to be a professional artist, or an artist at all, to have a piece in the 6×6 gallery show at Rochester Contemporary art center. Create a piece of artwork, in any medium you’d like, as long as it is 6 x 6 inches, then donate it to the gallery where it will be shown anonymously all around the world and sold (hopefully!) which will go directly to benefitting RoCo. Â
By coming to this workshop, you will be supporting both the ARTISANworks gallery AND the RoCo gallery, AND having a great time crafting with friends and strangers! Â
The workshop is $25 and includes everything you will need to create your masterpiece, guidance from Laura of Praise the Sun Shop, and she will help you through the whole process of contributing to 6×6. She will even hand deliver all of the pieces to the gallery herself. She will let you know when you can go view your artwork too! You are welcome to create and enter up to 4 pieces.
This is a BYOB event so please feel free to bring a beverage and snack to enjoy while you create!
Join us for this interactive and hilarious Wild West Romp! Dinner and a show at ARTISANworks.
The Mystery Company brings a hilarious, fun-filled interactive theater experience! Tables work together as a team to solve the hilarious Whodunit. Prizes are awarded to the table with the best solution.
Audience members can participate as much or as little as they like. They can also sit back and enjoy the show if they wish!
Picture this: The year is 1860, and some mighty funny shenanigans are happening in Casper, Wyoming. The wily Mayor wants the town to back a Riverboat that he claims will make everyone rich. The widow Connors is sure it will lead to ruin. Miss Babette, who owns the saloon, is outraged, no? It will put her out of business here if A’s mysterious cowboy asks a question about their talk of gold. Gold? The Sheriff aims to uphold law and order. Anything might happen – even murder. He’ll need your help to solve the crime. Madeline’s Catering is providing a full dinner buffet and beverages.
Cash bar will be available.
