Everett Thomas Orsini , born October 1946, is a lifelong resident of Rochester, NY. He graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High in 1964. Among other courses, he studied Design at Rochester Institute of Technology and Art History at the University of Rochester in nighttime courses. After retiring in 2003 as a 30 year police civilian employee, Tom began to do commissions of watercolor paintings of Rochester area homes. Retirement allowed travels to much of the US with his partner, inspiring landscapes and figurative work in acrylics.
Combining the caricatures and local architecture or landscapes has resulted in the “Vignettes”, an opportunity for Tom to tell a mini-story with the expressions and postures of his characters. Many people ask where the inspiration comes from for many of the caricatures. They are from everyday life and the many people that Tom met during the 30 years on the streets of Rochester and in his traveling in the US, as well as outside.
